Have Travel Questions? We Have the Answers
You're getting ready for your next trip and suddenly ALL of the questions come to mind. Do I need to be vaccinated to travel there? What kind of test do I need to take before I get on the plane? and what about quarantine...
Travel is a little bit questionable right now but it doesn't have to be. Have travel questions? We have the answers. And if you don't see it here, ask away in our questions box and we'll do our best to get back to you!
Q. What tests do I need to take to travel?
There is no one answer for this. IIf you’re entering Canada, as of April 1, 2022 fully-vaccinated travelers no longer need a pre-arrival test. The UK has lifted all COVID-19 travel restrictions. Coming to the US, you'll need to take a COVID-19 test 24 hours before departure. Keeping up with all of this can be overwhelming – don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Using our COVID-19 travel map powered by Sherpa, you can find out what test you’ll need for the location you’re going.
Q. Where do I get tested in destination?
We have a page for that. On our FCTG travel news site, we’ve created a page called “Where to get a COVID-19 Test” with extensive resources from testing locations by US state, Canadian provinces, airline recommendations and more. Additionally, if you want to have a worry-free trip, consider bringing an at home test with you on your trip. For re-entry into the US, a great option is the BinaxNOW COVID-19 at home test, which is a rapid antigen test that delivers results in just 15 minutes. Need help once you’re in destination? We’re here for you at any time and on any device thanks to our incredible staff and Melon.
Q. I’m travelling to __ will they accept mixed vaccines?
That is a great question. Some countries such as Canada, the UK, Italy and France are accepting mixed vaccines, if they are a combination of a certain type of vaccine – while there are some countries who are not as accepting and only allowing those with the same vaccine for both doses to enter. How do you know if you can travel somewhere with mixed vaccines? By booking with us. We do the heavy lifting for you and can answer any questions you have when it comes to travelling right now.
Q. Is there a quarantine rule in my destination
If you’re fully vaccinated, many countries now allow for a quarantine-free visit. The best way to find out if you’ll need to quarantine or not is through using our COVID 19 Travel Map powered by Sherpa.
